概要
中部三角州の中心地帯にあり、省都の広州から西南約20kmに位置する温暖な都市。中国有数の美術陶磁器や絹織物の名産地で、近年は商工業の発展ぶりが目覚しい都市です。佛山市は華僑のふるさととしても有名です。
Sister-city affiliation was formed on May 8th 1985. Foshan City, warm and with a mild climate, is located in the central area of Guangdong Province, 20kilometers southwest of the capital, Guangzhou. Sekiwan art ceramic ware and silk fabric are special famous local products of Foshan. The city's commerce and industry have been remarkably prosperous in recent years. Also, the city is famous for birthplace of Chinese abroad.
